ELRT alum Burt-Nanna named sixth president of Monroe Community College

KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擳he State University of New York Board of Trustees has named Dr. DeAnna Burt-Nanna, (鈥09, PhD Education Leadership, Research and Technology) the sixth president of Monroe Community College. Dr. Burt-Nanna comes to her new role after serving as vice president of student and academic affairs to South Central College.

鈥淢onroe Community College is a beacon of educational excellence and opportunity that is nationally known for its commitment to student success, innovation, and its significant impact on Rochester, Monroe County, and the Finger Lakes Region,鈥 said Burt-Nanna. 鈥淚 am honored to be selected as MCC鈥檚 next president and will work with MCC faculty, staff, and stakeholders to extend MCC鈥檚 legacy of educational excellence, innovation, and strong community partnerships.鈥

Monroe Community College is one of the nation鈥檚 most respected, student-focused and innovative community colleges. The college is located in Monroe County, New York and is part of the State University of New York (SUNY).

Dr. Burt-Nanna also holds a bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degree from WMU鈥檚 Haworth College of Business.
